KuCoin. One of the biggest crypto exchanges in the world. I think if you are involved in the world of cryptocurrencies, you must have heard of this platform. But what countries are supported on KuCoin? And can you use KuCoin in the US?
KuCoin is in third place among cryptocurrency exchanges by 24-hour trading volume. Thus, depending on how much money in total is being utilized to exchange both to and from FIAT currencies and between cryptocurrencies at the same time.
It will take some time for KuCoin to reach the first position, but it is already very close to occupying the second position.

Please note, that to compile this list only well-known and 100% legit exchanges were used. If we took into consideration exchanges with small safety scores but really large trading volumes – like cryptocurrency Exchange Deepcoin. Which has a daily trading volume of $7,5B. However, that’s due to the fact, that users on Deepcoin are trading with large leverage – Deepcoin allows up to 125x. Kucoin would be 27th.
Can you use KuCoin without KYC?
KYC, or Know your customer is a part of a series of guidelines in financial services that, moreover, requires financial businesses to verify the identity of the user. The KYC is carried out to stop illegal actions like money laundering or fraud, protecting both the company and the client.
The KYC process may vary a bit depending on the industry with financial services provided.
From a real example, you will one time need to provide your ID, face verification, and proof of address on government-issued documents. But the next time you will be asked to only provide your valid ID…
But can you use KuCoin without KYC? The simple answer is yes. But… your account will be limited.
Upon registering on KuCoin you will be given an “unverified” profile status. It may sound scary that your account will be limited, but the limit for unverified accounts is quite high. On KuCoin your withdrawal limit without KYC will be “only” 1 BTC.
But the worse part of an unverified account is that you won’t be able to deposit or withdraw FIAT. FIAT services are locked for only verified users.

However, the problem is that not all countries have access to all features on KuCoin. But as said before, you are still able to trade with just your e-mail, if you get your starting crypto-coins elsewhere.

Can KuCoin be used in the US?
As you may have noticed the US is not included in the KuCoin-supported countries. But why cannot KuCoin be used in the US?
Users from the US can sign up for a KuCoin account. But their account will remain “unverified”. Because you can’t complete the KYC process as KuCoin is not licensed to operate in the United States.
