We have already talked about Crypto Royale as one of our favorite Play to Earn game. Crypto Royale is a Free To Play Battle Royale game with the opportunity to earn a cryptocurrency token called Roy.
Our team has spent maybe even thousands of hours in the game. Often updates have made the game an enjoyable piece. And for me, it is now time to withdraw a bit of yield.
Let’s look at How to withdraw and sell tokens from Crypto Royale. We will give you a step-by-step guide from withdrawal on the site to sending it and selling it on Binance.
How much is the Crypto Royale token worth
You may be confused after you add your earned coins to your portfolio on CoinMarketCap. Because the price here seems pleasantly high, doesn’t it?
But the price there is unfortunately wrong. What CoinMarketcap show you is the price relative to WONE or Wrapped One. But you cannot swap to WONE. To calculate the actual price, you can see how many ONE you will get on ViperSwap and look at that price. But it usually comes out as a tenth of the price that CMC shows.
But it is still suitable for the amount of work you must put in to earn something.
How to withdraw tokens from Crypto Royale
First, to be able to withdraw your winnings, you need to Add Crypto Royale to MetaMask.
How to add Crypto Royale token to Metamask
The easiest way to add the Crypto Royale Roy coin to MetaMask is using CoinMarketCap. CoinMarketCap can be considered a reliable source for crypto token contract addresses.
Download and prepare your Metamask Wallet
The whole process of installing the MetaMask Wallet is straightforward. Download the browser extension from the store or install the app on your mobile phone. Afterward, you must set your wallet password and rewrite your secret recovery phrase. And your wallet is all set.
If you need a complete guide on installing Metamask wallet, you can access our step-by-step guide with pictures that will guide you through.
Add Harmony Mainnet to Metamask
Now you will need to add a new network. The Crypto Royale token is based on a network called Harmony One.
Open your Metamask wallet, click on your profile picture, and hit “Add Network.”
A small window will pop up asking for the network details. You will need to fill in this:
- Network Name: Harmony Mainnet
- New RPC URL: https://api.harmony.one
- ChainID: 1666600000
- Currency Symbol: ONE
- Block Explorer URL: https://explorer.harmony.one/
These details can be found on the official page of the Harmony One chain here.
After you tap “Save,” the Harmony chain should be successfully imported and can be accessed from the same menu you accessed the button “Add Network.”
Add Crypto Royale Roy coin to Metamask
Now visit the CoinMarketCap website, and in the upper right corner, search for ROY or CryptoRoyale. Select that. This is the page you should end up on.
On the page of the ROY token, find the contract address and copy that.
Open your Metamask wallet and click “Import Tokens.” Also, you need to have the right network selected. Thus Harmony network we imported earlier.
A small window will pop up again, asking for some details. This time for the custom token details. This is where the earlier copied contract address will be posted.
The token symbol should automatically fill to ROY, and the Token Decimal should be 18. Click “Add Custom Token” to finish the process.
Withdraw ROY
After you have added ROY to your metamask, you can proceed to withdraw. And that is the easiest part. In your game tab, click “Withdraw,” fill in the amount you wish to withdraw, and click the option “Withdraw as ROY.”
Go to your Metamask wallet and copy the address that you can find at the top of the window. After that, you will need to fill in your Metamask address. However, if you have already started staking your ROY, your wallet address should be prefilled.
Disclaimer: Please, make sure you withdraw a little ROY as ONE for gas fees. Of course, you can send ONE directly to your MetaMask from other sources. But for a cost-free procedure, get some ONE from Crypto Royale as well.
Swap ROY for ONE one ViperSwap
After a few seconds, your tokens should arrive in your MetaMask wallet.
Now head to ViperSwap to swap your ROYs for Harmony One. That’s very easy to do. First, connect your MetaMask wallet by clicking “Connect a Wallet” in the upper right corner. Don’t forget to have the right network selected. You won’t be able to connect if you skip this.
Confirm the connection, and after your wallet is connected, select the cryptocurrency pair you want to swap. And since we want to exchange the Crypto Royale token for ONE, select ROY/ONE.
The next step is to fill in the amount. Here, because we are on Harmony ONE chain, and the native token is ONE, we can fill in the maximum amount since the gas fees will be paid in ONE, not ROY.
And we met our first issue. Price Impact too high error is a standard error that means there’s not enough liquidity for my swap to be appropriately executed. And so the DApp increases the transaction price. Thus, I get less than I would normally get. Here, you can learn more about the “Price Impact Too High” error.
You can check the total liquidity when you click the “View Pair Analytics” button.
But since I want to conduct the trade anyway, I will ignore it. The lowest possible swap amount coming through is 2841 instead of 2849. That’s not too bad. However, the transaction price is increased. And as a result, I’ll lose about $4 because of this.
Now tap the “Swap” button. And since I am trading under the Price Impact too High error, I have to double confirm that I want to do the trade this way.
Disclaimer: Please note that even though I was, in my case, using ViperSwap, I suggest you use SushiSwap instead since ViperSwap is shutting down. The process will stay pretty much the same.
Choose the token pair to swap, connect your wallet, enter the amount and confirm the trade.
And since none on our team no longer owns any ROY, we cannot show you the exact process on SushiSwap at this moment.
Not Enough ONE to Pay For Gas Fees
And a second problem emerged. I do not have enough ONE to pay for Gas Fees. How to solve it? You will have to buy ONE on any Exchange and send it to your MetaMask. So I will buy $10 worth of ONE on Binance and send some change to my MetaMask wallet.
To send ONE from Binance to MetaMask, head to your spot wallet. Select the corresponding coin, i.e., ONE. And in the top bar, select the option to “Withdraw.”
The next step is to enter your address. Go back to MetaMask and copy your address from the top. There is only one address for your entire wallet, so there is no need to worry about that.
But here comes the tricky part. Binance support only addresses starting with “one,” and MetaMask’s address begins with “0x”.
To convert your address format go to Harmony Blockchain Explorer. And in the search bar, paste your MetaMask address. On the top of the page, you will see a toggle option to have your address formatted as an ETH or as a ONE address. Set it to ONE and copy that address and paste it into Binance.
Now set the withdrawal amount. Ideally, as low as possible because you want only ONE to cover gas fees. The minimal withdrawal is 60 ONE.
The last step is to tap “Withdraw” and confirm your withdrawal. Now, wait for all the confirmations. This can take a few minutes.
Your balance will update in a few minutes, and you can continue with the swap from where we left off. However, if this is not your case and MetaMask is not updating your balance, you can find a troubleshooting guide in the link.
Confirm the Swap
Do the steps again as described above and confirm the transaction with enough ONE for gas fees to swap the ROY tokens.
When the transaction is completed, we can send our new balance to Binance and sell tokens from Crypto Royale.
How to Sell Crypto Royale token
Send coins from MetaMask to Binance
Now the process is basically reversed from what we have done when sending tokens from Binance to MetaMask.
First thing first, heads to Binance, and instead of “Withdraw,” select the option to “Deposit.” Select ONE as the coin. The network is ONE Harmony.
You will get a warning to make sure that you are using shard0.
When you are adding the Harmony chain to MetaMask, you have a few different options, as you can see in the picture below.
You want to ensure that you are using the correct version of the network. I.e., Shard 0. To check that, open your MetaMask, tap on the profile picture, and head to settings.
In the settings tab, select “Networks” and Harmony Mainnet.
Ensure that your chain id is set to “1666600000” in the network details. If yes, you are good to go.
Copy the address from Binance and once again go to Harmony Explorer. We will need to convert our address format the other way around.
Once you have pasted your address, click the toggler in the top bar and convert it to ETH format. This is the address you need to send the coins.
Keep this address copied, and once again, open your Metamask wallet and tap “send.”
Select the number of coins you wish the send and confirm the transaction.
The transaction should soon appear in the transaction list.
And soon after that, also in your spot balance.
Sell the coins you got from Crypto Royale.
The last thing left to do is to sell your coins. Select whatever trading pair with ONE you want and sell it all.
But keep in mind that the minimum trade amount on Binance is $10. For instance, I sold all ONE I got from Crypto Royale for BUSD.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, you do. But only a small amount just for the gas fees. Around $0.1 will be just enough. Send it to your MetaMask wallet as ONE or Polygon token, depending on what chain you’ll be swapping your ROY.
There is 1 ROY minimum withdrawal. Other than that, you are free to withdraw as much as you want.
Conclusion
I must admit that withdrawing and selling tokens from Crypto Royale is not the easiest thing to do, and there are a few things you have to be cautious about.
Make sure that your MetaMask HARMONY mainnet is set to shard0. And don’t forget to convert your address from ETH format to ONE format and vice versa.
And be a little patient. I was pretty worried when my transaction didn’t appear immediately. But everything takes time. In our article, you can learn why your transaction might take a little longer.
